The new Seafarers’ Welfare Fund (SWF) office as well as a fitness corner were inaugurated, on 16th March 2022, by the Minister of Blue Economy, Marine Resources, Fisheries and Shipping, Mr. Sudheer Maudhoo, at the 4th floor, Trevessa House in Mer Rouge.
Cheques, representing a one-off covid-19 grant of Rs 4,000 were also remitted to a total of 230 seafarers.
