Dental Treatment
The Welfare Committee has reviewed its Dental Treatment Scheme for seafarers with effect from 1st July 2023.
Under this scheme the beneficiary will be refunded up to 80% of cost incurred for normal dental treatment, up to a maximum amount of Rs 10,000 per year.
Also note that as from 1st July 2023, the same is applied to the seafarers’ spouse for their dental treatment.
Eligibility and criteria
- The beneficiary should be registered as an active or retired registered seafarer with the Seafarers’ Welfare Fund.
- The beneficiary should not be covered by any similar scheme with his employer or elsewhere.
- For active seafarers not actively engaged in employment.
