Death Grant

The Welfare Committee has reviewed the following Death Grant Schemes with effect from 1st October 2025.

A one-off death grant of Rs 40,000 to the immediate heir/next to kin of a seafarer registered on the list of active & retired seafarers who passes away.

Death Grant Scheme for Seafarer’s Spouse

Also note that the Welfare Committee has agreed to offer a one-off death grant of Rs 25,000 to the active or retired seafarer’s Spouse in case of the death.
