The SWF Scholarship Scheme

Every year, the Seafarers’ Welfare Fund awards two (2) Scholarships to seafarer’s children who out perform at examinations at the level of HSC.

The Scholarship Scheme is devised in such a manner that no children of seafarers are laid off of any Educational streams.

Selection of Scholars & Scholarship Policies

• POST HSC – An additional payment of Rs 25,000 (twenty-five thousand rupees) will be allocated every semester. However, no payment shall be effected if one year of study is repeated.

The committee to take note that the Post HSC Scholarships are awarded on gender basis whereby the best qualified are allocated to one boy and one girl in each grade respectively. If ever, there is no application for a boy or a girl, both scholarships will be awarded to the same gender.

Exeaquo

In case the last application selected is in exeaquo with other applicants then the later is also awarded a Scholarship.
