The SWF carried out its first ship visiting exercise on the 29th December 2023. This initiative, undertaken by the SWF in collaboration with the Mauritius Sailors Home Society and the Stella Maris, aims to promote the wellbeing of seafarers, especially the foreign ones, within our maritime jurisdiction.
Three ship visiting exercise were conducted on vessels M/V Kiara, M/V Tramontane and MSC Hina and whereby care packages including tracksuits, t-shirts, caps, backpacks and hand pouches containing essential items (towel, trimmer, nail clipper, toothbrush, toothpaste and soap) were distributed to each of the 61 crew members onboard the respective ships.
